Dalit Rachel Braun

Dalit never decided what she wanted to do.
She studied Engineering, Business administration, Business Law, 2 years Film production (when she wanted to be a film director), 1 year Oceanography (when she fantasied being the next Jacques Cousteau) but ended up embalmed in suits in the corporate world.
She established and managed several companies in real estate and technology until eventually she managed the largest Public Real Estate Company in Israel.
She has served as a board member for international and Israel’s largest corporations. If she thought that she could finally sit back and relax… well she could not.
Her pursuit of careers is apparently not over and she has decided on becoming an author. Cranes Over Smog is her first novel.
What Readers Say

I think it’s really inspiring how Dalit Rachel Braun talks about her experience as a woman in a field that has mostly been dominated by men, like real estate. It’s not easy for women to succeed in industries where they often face extra challenges just because of their gender, or just being a woman. Braun had to work harder to prove herself and find ways to be taken seriously, which many women can relate to. I believe it’s a struggle that a lot of women face, trying to carve out their own space in sectors where the opportunities for them are either limited or conditioned by stereotypes and expectations.
What I find impressive is how she found strategies to overcome the barriers. This shows a lot of strength and determination. Her story can motivate other women who want to break into male-dominated fields, showing them that it’s possible with persistence and the right mindset. It’s a reminder that while the journey might be harder, the achievements are even more rewarding when they come after overcoming such obstacles.

Cranes Over Smog by Dalit Rachel Braun is classified as a literature and fiction type of book. This story definitely is very immersive and introspective. If you are someone who enjoys really thinking deeply and reflecting on what your read, then this one will definitely get your mind going. This aspect of the story I really liked but other parts of it I found a little too much for where my mind wanted to go explore. But overall, very engaging and thought-provoking.
